Working Permit KITAS (ITAS/Limited Stay Permit)

The Working KITAS is issued to foreigners employed in Indonesia. To obtain a working permit, you must be employed by an Indonesian-registered company, such as a PT, PMA, Representative Office, or an Indonesian-owned business. Your Working KITAS is valid for up to 12 months.

Key Requirements & Regulations

  • The sponsoring company is required to pay the DPKK tax to the Indonesian government, which amounts to $100 USD per month.
  • This Working KITAS can be extended up to 6 times. After that, the holder must complete an EPO (Exit Permit Only) and reapply for a new Working KITAS.

Temporary Working KITAS (Valid for 1 up to 6 Months)

  • 1 up to 6-month Working KITAS is also available. The regulations regarding RPTKA (Foreign Manpower Utilization Plan) and IMTA (Work Permit Issuance) remain the same, including the $100 USD/month tax payment.
  • However, an additional ASTAKA Insurance is required to obtain this Temporary Working KITAS.
  • This temporary KITAS is non-extendable. Once it expires, the holder must complete an EPO (Exit Permit Only) and reapply for a new Temporary Working KITAS.

This visa is essential for foreigners seeking legal employment in Indonesia while ensuring compliance with government regulations.

This type of KITAS requires the applicant to apply for an SKTT (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal) as part of the extension process. The SKTT serves as an official identification document for foreigners residing in Indonesia.
