The Working KITAS is issued to foreigners employed in Indonesia. To obtain a working permit, you must be employed by an Indonesian-registered company, such as a PT, PMA, Representative Office, or an Indonesian-owned business. Your Working KITAS is valid for up to 12 months.
Key Requirements & Regulations
- The sponsoring company is required to pay the DPKK tax to the Indonesian government, which amounts to $100 USD per month.
- This Working KITAS can be extended up to 6 times. After that, the holder must complete an EPO (Exit Permit Only) and reapply for a new Working KITAS.
Temporary Working KITAS (Valid for 1 up to 6 Months)
- 1 up to 6-month Working KITAS is also available. The regulations regarding RPTKA (Foreign Manpower Utilization Plan) and IMTA (Work Permit Issuance) remain the same, including the $100 USD/month tax payment.
- However, an additional ASTAKA Insurance is required to obtain this Temporary Working KITAS.
- This temporary KITAS is non-extendable. Once it expires, the holder must complete an EPO (Exit Permit Only) and reapply for a new Temporary Working KITAS.
