The Family/Dependent KITAS is only granted to close relatives of an Indonesian citizen, such as spouses or children, or to applicants who have another type of KITAS. The visa is valid for one year with multiple re-entry permits included and can be extended every year for a total of five years. The other spouse and children will have the same ITAS validity as the primary ITAS holder.
This type of KITAS can be converted into KITAP (permanent residence for 5 years) depend on what kind of the primary KITAS holder is either working, investor, spouse, children, golden visa or Indonesian Citizenship as the sponsor. You will receive benefit, as an Indonesian citizen, such as the ability to establish a bank account, obtain an Indonesian ID (SKTT – Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal from Dinas Kependudukan dan Catalan Sipil based on applicant domicile), and apply for a driver’s licence.
